Hi I am back. I am going to tell you about EOTC week.
Three weeks ago we had EOTC week. It was so much fun. First on monday we went to the Marae. At the Marae the boys did a haka and the girls did a poi dance. The haka was hard when we first started but after a couple of times it wasn't hard. After we practised we had morning tea. For morning tea I had a two biscuits I think. Then after we had morning tea we practised the haka some more. At the end of the Marae trip we had to peform the haka in front of the girls and the girls had to perform the poi dance in front of the boys. After the haka and the poi dance we headed back to school. When we got to school we just relaxed. The teacher read us a book. After the book it was time to go home. We got our bags, packed away and put the rubbish out. So that's the end of day one.
On Tuesday we went to tree adventures and it is a forty minute drive to tree adventures. When we got there we had to get equipted with special eqepment. The eqepment was a harnes and a helmet. After we got suited up we had to do a
practise course. At the practise course we learnt how to put our harneses on and how to put the harnese
on so that we don't fall off. After we did the practise course we started to do the real course. I started on number 2 course. When I first started the number 2 course it was freaky but after the number 2 course I thought it was really fun. After number 2 course I had something to eat. I had some chips and some watermelon. Then I went on number 1 course. Number one course was actually easy but still it was fun. Next I did nmber 4 course. I was going to do number 3 course but there was a big line there. Number 4 course was difficult but I still got through it. Number 4 course also had a tarzan swing but I didn't do it because I was a little bit scared. The last course I did was number 3. course 3 was awesome because at the end of course 3 it had a really long flying fox. At the end of tree adventures we eat a little bit more of our lunch before we got on the bus. Once we eat our lunch we got on the bus to go back to school. So that's what we did on Tuesday.
On Wednesday I went to waitura reserve to do orienteering there. We had to walk there. When we got there they told us how the day is going to go. Oh sorry I forgot to tell you what group I was in. I was with Finn, Sam, Zoe and Claire. And the mum we were with was Sam's mum. So where was I. Oh ya I remember. After they told us how the day was going to work we had some morning tea. For morning tea I had some chips. After we had morning tea they gave all the maps out to the groups. Then they let groups out one at a time. Our group got let out last. But we didn't care. The first place we had to go to was a long walk. But that we didn't care. When we got to the first place we made a mistake because there was a marker behind the tree but it was the wrong one and also it was to late to stop us because we already marked it. I'm going now bye. Hi I am back. So where was I. Oh ya. After we marked the wrong one we kept looking for the real first one. But then Sam found it so that was good. The first one was behind another tree. The next one we had to go to we had to walk back the other way. But the problem is we need to go in order. The second marker was next to a chair and I found that one. Sorry but I can't remember all of the markers so I am going to skip one part okay. After our group got the paper marked we went back to the meeting place to give the paper to the teachers. When we got there we were allowed to eat our lunch so I did. For lunch I had a roll and some watermelon. After lunch we did another map. Oh sorry I forgot to tell you what map I was doing. There are to maps you do. The first map we did was number 1 map. Then we did number 2 map. That's what I'm talking about now. So where was I. Oh yes. We got the map from one of the teachers and we were off. Sorry but I can't remember any of the markers so I am going to skip a part. So after we did number 1 map we went back to the meeting place. When all the groups were at the meeting place we played a game called go home stay home. The aim of the game is to get to the home before the tagger tags you. When we played go home stay home the teachers were in and I didn't get tagged by the teachers. After we played go home stay home we had to get packed up to go back to school. Then after we got packed up and everyone was ready to go we started to walk back to school together. When we got back to school we got ready to go home. So that's what we did on Wednesday.
On Thursday we went to the wavepools. That was the last day of EOTC. In the morning we got all ready to go on the bus.Once everyone was on the bus we were off. Oh sorry but I forgot to tell you who's group I was in again. I was in the same group as I was in the whole week but the mum we were with this time is Claire's mum. So where was I. Oh ya. Once we got there we had morning tea since it was morning tea when we got there. After morning tea we just took our clothes off because we already had our togs on under our clothes. After we took our clothes off in our group we decided what we would do first. We decided we were going to go in the hidro slide first. The hidro slide is a long tube. In the middle of the hidro slide there is a completely black spot where you can't see. After the hidro slide we went in the pool. Once we got in the pool the waves started to go and the waves were cool. Also the waves come every half an hour. Sorry I can't really remember everything I did so I am going to skip a part. After we played we had some lunch and after lunch we got changed. Then we went back on the bus to go back to school. So that's how the week went. I had so much fun at EOTC so I am going to say thank you to all the teachers for arranging EOTC. That's the end of EOTC.

Hi I'm back to do some more writing. I am going to do a natural product log. Here it is. Natural Product Log
12/8/11
What I have learnt about natural products is that in a drink if it has lot's of sugar it isn't natural but if it doesn't have any sugar or anything bad in it it is natural. Like Herbal tea thats natural. The definition of natural is man made because natural is something made by man.
Hi I'm back to give you some information about a typewriter.
A typewriter is a mechanical device that people in the olden days (around 1800's) used to type. A typewriter has keys like a computer but instead of a screen it has paper. This is how a typewriter works. When you click a key on a normal keyboard at home it goes straight onto the computer. But when you click a key on a typewriter it is more complicated. This is how it works. Typically one character (key) is printed per key press, and the machine prints the characters by making ink impressions, usually on paper. Once the 1980s came the word processors and the personal computers took over the typewriter. Here is some news about it. The owners of the world's last remaining mechanical typewriter factory have shut down and are not going to make any more. They are not making any more because there isn't that many orders coming to them. In Mumbai that's in India they had a factory there and they were selling 12,000 mechanical typewriters a year. In India the typewriters were mostly used in the courts. And that's all about typewriters.
Now I am going to write about my holiday in Fiji.
Two days before our trip to fiji we started to pack. We didn't really have to pack many things because we were only staying there for a week and we were going to swim everyday anyway. On the day of our flight in the morning we didn't have to do much because our flight was in the afternoon so we just stayed at home until we had to start going. Me and my brothers were so excited once the time had come to start going. Once we got in the car we drove to this place where you keep your car when you go on holiday. Once we dropped off our car we had to get into a cab and the man drove us to the airport. When we got there we put our luggage on a trolley and we went to put our luggage on this moving thing where they put a tag on your luggage and they put it in the plane. Once that was done we went up top to get some food and we had macdonalds since the flight wasn't for another hour. At Mcdonalds I usually have a happy meal but this time I had a sundae and a subway. After we had eaten we went to go through imagration so the people can check our passports. Once that was done we went to the gate where our plane would be. But before that something attracted our eyes and that was watches. The company was swatches. I asked my mum if I could have one for my early birthday present because my first one broke. And she said yes so I was very lucky to get one. Once we bought it we went to see all of the shops because it was still not time to go to the plane. At one of the shops I bought a book I could read on the plane. After we bought the book we started to go to the plane. After the plane ride was over all of us were tired because when we got there it was 6:00.
